1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible | 383 Stroker V8 | Muncie 4-Speed & Wilwood Disc Brakes
This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible blends classic A-body style with a serious performance build underneath. With its open-top body, custom black leather interior with red piping, and chrome American Torq Thrust II wheels, it has the stance and presence of a tastefully upgraded street machine.
Power comes from a 383 stroker V8, built from a Chevrolet 350 and rated at a reported 430 horsepower. The engine features Edelbrock aluminum heads, a Holley 750 carburetor, Hedman coated headers, Flowmaster exhaust, a new aluminum radiator, and a mostly chrome engine presentation. It is paired with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, Hurst shifter, and BorgWarner race clutch, giving the car the right mechanical feel for a properly built classic muscle convertible.
The chassis and braking upgrades are just as important. This Chevelle is equipped with Wilwood disc brakes at all four wheels, red Wilwood calipers, aluminum master cylinder, high-density brake rotors, new KYB shocks, and 2-inch lowered Eibach springs. The front end was refreshed with new TRW upper and lower ball joints and alignment, while the drivetrain includes a 10-bolt rear with 3.56 gears and chrome differential cover.
Inside, the car features a custom leather interior, new carpeting, restored console with working clock, tilt steering column, front and rear seat belts, AM/FM stereo, and four Pioneer speakers. The convertible top was installed approximately four years ago, with an excellent rear window and a custom-fit leather boot. With its strong stroker drivetrain, upgraded suspension, Wilwood brakes, redline radials, and detailed custom interior, this Chevelle Malibu Convertible is built to drive, show, and enjoy.
